2. Training Services
We provide training to organisations, businesses, education providers and individuals through a range of delivery methods.
Depending on the course, delivery may include:
-
face-to-face training at a client's premises;
-
face-to-face training at a venue arranged by Reliable Training Ltd;
-
live tutor-led online training;
-
blended learning;
-
practical demonstrations and assessments;
-
regulated qualifications on selected courses;
-
Train the Trainer programmes; and
-
training materials and organisational trainer resource packs.
The delivery method, duration, learner capacity, certification and assessment requirements vary according to the course.
The details applicable to a particular booking will be stated on our website, quotation, booking confirmation or other correspondence.
3. Quotations
Unless otherwise stated, quotations provided by Reliable Training Ltd are based on the information supplied by the client at the time of enquiry.
A quotation may take account of factors including:
-
course type;
-
number of learners;
-
number of trainers required;
-
course location;
-
delivery method;
-
venue requirements;
-
travel;
-
accommodation;
-
certification requirements; and
-
any additional resources or services requested.
Where the requirements of a booking subsequently change, we reserve the right to revise the quotation accordingly.
Any additional costs will be communicated to the client wherever reasonably possible before they are incurred.
4. Pricing
Our aim is to provide clear and straightforward group pricing.
The price quoted for training will normally include the trainer's delivery and standard course resources unless otherwise stated.
Additional charges may apply where appropriate, including for:
-
regulated certificates or qualifications;
-
additional trainers;
-
venue hire;
-
travel beyond our included mileage allowance;
-
accommodation;
-
specialist equipment or resources; and
-
additional services requested by the client.
Where applicable, the first 30 miles of the total return journey are included within the course price. Additional mileage is charged at £0.45 per mile unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Where overnight accommodation is reasonably required, this will normally be charged at the actual cost of suitable accommodation such as Premier Inn or a similar standard of accommodation reasonably close to the training venue.
Where Reliable Training Ltd is asked to arrange a training venue, the actual venue cost may be added to the booking.
All applicable charges will be identified in the quotation or otherwise communicated to the client.
5. VAT
Where VAT is applicable, this will be clearly shown on the relevant quotation or invoice.
Prices displayed on the website should be read together with any VAT information shown alongside them.
6. Confirming a Booking
Submitting an enquiry or requesting a quotation does not automatically reserve a training date.
A booking is considered confirmed when Reliable Training Ltd has accepted the booking and provided confirmation to the client.
Where payment, a purchase order or other information is required to secure the booking, this will be communicated to the client.
Training dates remain subject to availability until confirmed.
7. Payment
Payment terms will be stated on the relevant quotation, invoice or booking confirmation.
Invoices must be paid by the due date shown on the invoice.
Where payment is required before delivery, the booking must be paid in accordance with the stated payment terms.
Reliable Training Ltd reserves the right, where appropriate, to withhold certificates, training materials, assessment results or other course documentation until outstanding invoices relating to the booking have been paid.
Where an invoice remains unpaid after its due date, we reserve the right to take reasonable steps to recover the outstanding amount and any charges that may lawfully apply.
8. Client Responsibilities
Where training is delivered at a client's premises, the client is responsible for providing a suitable and safe training environment.
Depending on the course, this may include:
-
sufficient space for the number of learners;
-
suitable seating and tables;
-
access to appropriate presentation facilities where agreed;
-
suitable space for practical activities;
-
safe access to the premises;
-
appropriate welfare facilities; and
-
any client-provided equipment agreed before delivery.
The client is also responsible for ensuring learners are informed of the date, time, location and any prerequisites or preparation required for the course.
If the venue or facilities are unsuitable to deliver training safely or effectively, we reserve the right to modify, postpone or, where necessary, stop delivery.
9. Learner Numbers
Maximum learner numbers vary by course and will be identified within the course information or quotation.
Many of our practical courses have a maximum of 12 learners per trainer.
Where the number of learners exceeds the permitted maximum, an additional trainer, additional course or alternative arrangement may be required and additional charges may apply.
A reduction in learner numbers after a booking has been confirmed does not automatically result in a reduction in the agreed course price.
10. Attendance and Punctuality
Learners should attend the full course and arrive at the stated start time.
Certain courses, particularly regulated qualifications, require minimum learning hours, attendance requirements and successful completion of assessments.
Late arrival or failure to attend part of a course may mean that a learner cannot complete the required learning or assessment and therefore cannot be certificated.
Reliable Training Ltd cannot guarantee certification where a learner has not met the required attendance, assessment or competency requirements.
11. Learner Conduct
Learners are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards trainers, other learners and venue staff.
We reserve the right to remove a learner from a course where their behaviour is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or prevents the effective delivery of training.
Where a learner is removed for inappropriate conduct, the client will not automatically be entitled to a refund.
12. Practical Training
Some courses involve physical or practical activities.
Learners should inform the trainer of any circumstances that may affect their ability to participate safely in a practical activity.
Where appropriate, reasonable adjustments may be considered to support participation, provided that required learning outcomes, assessment standards and safety requirements can still be met.
Learners should not undertake an activity that they believe would place themselves or another person at unreasonable risk.
13. Assessment and Certification
Successful completion of a course does not automatically guarantee certification where an assessment or competency requirement applies.
Learners must satisfy the requirements applicable to the relevant programme.
Depending on the course, certification may consist of:
-
a Reliable Training Ltd certificate;
-
a certificate of attendance or completion; or
-
a regulated qualification issued through an appropriate awarding organisation.
Regulated certification is available only on selected courses and may involve an additional charge.
Where a qualification is provided through an awarding organisation, learners may also be subject to that organisation's registration, assessment, quality assurance and certification requirements.
14. Train the Trainer Programmes
Reliable Training Ltd's subject-specific Train the Trainer programmes are designed primarily for individuals who already hold an appropriate teaching or training qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training or an appropriate equivalent.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, completion of a subject-specific Train the Trainer programme does not itself provide a general teaching qualification.
Train the Trainer certification issued by Reliable Training Ltd is normally valid for three years, with annual or internal refresher activity recommended where appropriate.
Organisations remain responsible for ensuring their internal trainers remain competent, current and appropriately authorised to deliver training within their organisation.
15. Organisational Trainer Resource Packs
Organisational Trainer Resource Packs may be purchased for selected subjects.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a Resource Pack is licensed for internal use within the purchasing organisation.
The purchasing organisation may use the supplied materials to support appropriate internal training delivery by suitably qualified or authorised trainers.
Resource Packs and their contents must not be:
-
resold;
-
commercially distributed;
-
supplied to another organisation;
-
published publicly;
-
uploaded to publicly accessible websites or platforms; or
-
represented as the purchaser's own intellectual property.
The purchase of a Resource Pack does not transfer ownership of Reliable Training Ltd's intellectual property.
16. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content and training materials produced by Reliable Training Ltd, including course materials, presentations, manuals, workbooks, assessment materials, templates, graphics and other resources, remain the intellectual property of Reliable Training Ltd or the relevant rights holder.
Materials are supplied for their intended use only.
No material may be reproduced, distributed, sold, published or used commercially outside the permissions expressly granted by Reliable Training Ltd without prior written permission.
17. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations and requests to change confirmed training dates are governed by our separate Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
Our current policy provides, in summary:
14 days or more before the course: no cancellation fee, with payments eligible for refund or transfer subject to the policy.
7–13 days before the course: 50% of the course fee may be payable, with one transfer permitted subject to the policy.
Within 6 days of the course: 100% of the course fee may be payable.
Non-attendance may result in the full course fee remaining payable.
Any non-refundable costs already committed specifically for a booking, such as venue or accommodation costs, may also remain payable where applicable.
The full Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy should be read before confirming a booking.
18. Cancellation by Reliable Training Ltd
In exceptional circumstances, Reliable Training Ltd may need to cancel or rearrange a course due to trainer illness, circumstances beyond our reasonable control or another event that prevents safe or effective delivery.
Where this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative training date.
Where an appropriate alternative cannot be agreed, amounts paid directly for the affected training may be refunded where applicable.
Reliable Training Ltd will not normally be responsible for indirect costs incurred by the client as a result of cancellation, such as employee time, travel or other consequential costs, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control
Reliable Training Ltd will not be responsible for a failure or delay in performing its obligations where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include severe weather, transport disruption, venue closure, significant illness, government restrictions, emergencies, utility or technology failures or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.
Where possible, we will work with the client to rearrange affected training.
20. Information Provided During Training
Reliable Training Ltd takes reasonable care to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant and appropriate at the time of delivery.
Training is intended to support professional knowledge and workplace practice. It does not replace organisation-specific policies, procedures, clinical judgement, professional advice, statutory guidance or an employer's responsibility to ensure safe and lawful working practices.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that training is appropriate for their organisation, workforce and regulatory requirements.

Where there is a conflict between general website information and a specific written quotation or booking confirmation, the specific agreed booking information will normally take precedence.

Reliable Training Ltd may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, pricing arrangements, business practices or legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on our website with the date of the most recent update.
